Mr. Robert Michael Horacek ESQ., 55 of Salem, died unexpectedly July 10th, 2012 at his home.
Born in Brighton, he was the son of John M. Horack of Hull and the late Catherine T. (Delaney) Horack. He was raised and educated in Wellesley and was a graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood. He continued his education at Suffolk University and Suffolk Law School where he graduated with honors. Mr. Horacek was currently employed as the Director of Employee Relations with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Transportation. An Avid photographer, Bob had a love of the ocean and was a sailing master at the Hull Yacht Club for many years. He had been a resident of the North Shore and Salem for the past eight years.
Bob is survived by his father, John M. Horack of Hull, his sister Margaret Jones and her husband Ken of Durham, N.H., his brothers Edward Horack and his wife Elisa of Stratham, N.H., Thomas Horack and his wife Susan of Belmont and John Horack of Attleboro, his nieces and nephews, Matthew Horack, Lauren Wijkowski and her husband Mike, Cameron, Christopher and Brendan Horack. "Uncle Bob" was devoted to his niece and nephews and will live on in their hearts. Bob will truly be missed by his many loving cousins and extended family, co-workers, dear friends and Madison. Bobby, as he was known to those closest to him, will be remembered for his selfless acts of kindness to anyone in need.
ARRANGEMENTS: A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem.
