Mrs. Eleanor A. (Waterman) Benedetto 76, of Danvers died on Thursday May 24th, 2012, after a short illness.

She was born to the late Martha Waterman on April 2, 1936. Ellie, as she liked to be called finished school in 1953. Shortly after she finished school she met and fell in love with Dominic Benedetto. They eventually married and shared 58 very happy years together. Ellie worked many jobs over the years but the one she felt was the most important was a homemaker and a Mother. She was a diehard Red Sox and Bruins fan and tried to never miss a game.

In addition to her loving husband, Eleanor is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Loretta Rodrigues and her husband Teddy, Cathy Price and her husband Steve, Debra Ferguson and Donna Benedetto, and by her sons Jim Benedetto and his wife Ava, and Donald Benedetto, as well as her sister, Jean Palm of Beverly. She also will be missed by her grandchildren Maura Battad, David Ferguson, Ciara McCurtain, Stephanie Price, Leah Ortiz and Billy Price. She was predeceased by her grandson Tony Benedetto. She also will be missed by her cat, Billy whom she adored.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services will be private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (Rte 62) Danvers.
